How to Get Over the Blue Monday Blues!

How to Get Over the Blue Monday Blues!

Ah, Blue Monday.

The third Monday in January, said to be the most depressing day of the year. It’s a relatively new concept, but one that describes the way many of us can feel after the end to the festivities, and a return back to normality!

But it doesn’t have to feel that way! January can feel like a chore, but we’re here to help you see the good in Blue Monday.

On this upcoming Blue Monday, we’re sharing some ways to help you stay positive. Whether you’re in the office, working from home, heading back to school - whatever your situation involves, it doesn’t have to be as sad as it is made out to be.

It’s okay to feel down

First up, it’s okay to feel down every now and then. After all the recent excitement, January can come to feel like a bit of a downer. Paired with the common rainy, windy weather and dark days we experience at this time of year, it can all feel a bit much.

Even though ‘Blue Monday’ is a relatively new concept, initially coined by a travel company back in 2005, remind yourself that it’s okay to feel the effects.

Make sure to take a break

Mondays are usually hard after a nice weekend, and Blue Monday is no different. Make sure you’re taking your earned break, and to not put too much pressure on yourself.

Get up from your desk, give yourself five minutes of fresh air, check in on one another and remind yourself that it’s just another day!

Find the joy

It might not seem like it, but there are many things to look forward to in January - find the joy and treat yourself!

One thing to look forward to all month long is our January sale, where you can treat yourself, feel good doing it, and not have to worry about breaking the bank in the process.
